From a Dreadful Setup to a Two-Set Studio
A Tucson insurance founder who hosts his own podcast and guests on others several times a week wanted to look the part. We built a two-set studio in one room, a curated personal backdrop and a lit green-screen, with multi-camera switching and a teleprompter.
The challenge
His setup was, in his own words, 'dreadful', echoey audio bouncing off flat walls, a good mic sitting unused, cheap lights causing more problems than they solved, and a blank background. Space and budget weren't the issue; know-how was: 'it's just a lack of experience on how to set it up.'
The solution
We built two looks in one room: a curated backdrop of framed book covers and personal pieces, plus a properly lit green-screen for a second camera angle. We moved the mic in close to kill the echo, pulled the desk off the wall for depth, ceiling-mounted the lighting to clear the floor, added a tracking camera and teleprompter for eye contact, and set up multi-camera scene switching.
The result
A finished, broadcast-ready studio with two looks to switch between, built for someone who hosts his own show and guests on others several times a week.
