This Is Not a Room. This Is a Studio.
A book-publishing founder's 12×12 office, run on a laptop camera and overhead light, rebuilt remotely into a real studio for sales calls, client meetings, and podcast appearances.
The challenge
Michael ran his whole business from one office on nothing but a MacBook camera and overhead lighting. It looked okay, never professional, and he kept breaking eye contact glancing between the camera and a second screen. A DIY studio attempt never worked out, he had the ambition but not the expertise.
The solution
Working entirely remotely, we sketched the room from a photo and rebuilt it around eye contact and depth: a DSLR for a softer, professional look, a second light panel with the overhead off, a teleprompter so notes sit over the lens, color-changing background lights for depth, a sit-stand desk, and a single hub to clean up the wiring, then guided the full assembly over a call.

The space
A 12×12 office that doubles as the headquarters of an entire book-publishing business. Everything, sales calls, client work, podcast appearances, happens on camera here, so the whole build was about how Michael shows up: eye contact, flattering light, and a setup he never has to fight.
