A 6×6 Closet Turned Into a Real Studio

A 6×6 closet converted into a fully functional one-person studio, acoustic paneling, a multi-monitor desk, camera and mic, and warm accent lighting in a tiny footprint.

The challenge

Almost no space. A dark 6×6 closet with exposed framing, the kind of room most people would write off as too small to shoot in.

The solution

We treated the walls with acoustic panels, built a compact multi-monitor desk, mounted a camera, mic, and key light, and added warm accent lighting to give the small space depth on camera.

The result

Proof that square footage isn't the constraint, a closet that records and streams like a real studio.

The build

The image above shows the same 6×6 closet across the build, from a dark space with exposed framing to a finished, acoustically treated one-person studio with a multi-monitor desk in Reston, VA.
