A Magical, Mystical Cave for a Podcaster
A Los Angeles podcaster with a closet full of gear but no way to execute her vision, a dark, moody, artistic set, got a remote studio blueprint that finally matched the room to the feeling she was after.
The challenge
Caneel knew exactly the visual vibe she wanted, dark, moody, intimate, artistic, but was stuck in the execution, in the specifics. She'd bought gear repeatedly without knowing how to use it, and had never found one expert who understood both the video and the audio side.
The solution
We inventoried her gear, ran a LIDAR scan of the room, and used a 3D app to place every camera, lens, and light before buying anything, then delivered a studio blueprint and wiring workflow: a primary intimate single-camera angle plus a secondary for promo reels, blackout shades for controlled moody light, an intense key with faint background twinkle, and setups for solo and remote-guest recording.
The transformation

BeforeThe result
The room scan and gear plan are done, and the blueprint turns her cluttered, hard-to-use space into the immersive, mystical set she'd been picturing for years.
“I've never found anyone else who does what you do, it's such a particular, specific thing.”
The vision
She described the feeling she was after as walking into "a magical, mystical cave", the opposite of the typical high-tech podcast set. The work wasn't about buying more gear; she had plenty. It was about a plan: mapping the room and every camera and light to the dark, intimate, artistic vibe she could picture but couldn't execute on her own.
